Also called Pantothenic acid (from panthos, meaning everywhere), or Panthenol, vitamin B5 is a water soluble micronutrient and one of the anti-stress vitamins.

Functions of Vitamin B5 in Diet

Pantothenic acid helps to maintain normal growth and the health of the central nervous system. It is essential for the metabolism of glucose and fat into energy, thus regulating energy levels, and helps to boost the immune system, thus fighting infection.
