Sugars: Calorie Intake and Weight Management
The calorie-content of Sugar is relatively
moderate. But if you are interested in following a calorie-controlled
diet in order to normalize your body weight, over consumption of Sugar
(including "invisible" sugar in ready-to-eat foods) is not recommended.
Also, remember that increased calorie expenditure balances increased intake,
and helps maintain an efficient metabolism.
Calorie Counting Has Limits
Although it's important to know the calorific
values of foods like Sugar, in order to be aware which ones are especially
calorie-dense, the nutritional value of food is also important. Some carbohydrate
foods and essential fats may be higher in calories but even so are very
important for your health and weight.
Please Note: Calorie values for Sugar are
approximate only.
